Why Global Art?
I love global art because it allows me to understand different cultures, traditions, and perspectives around the world. Art is a universal language that connects people beyond borders and helps us appreciate the diversity of human experiences. As an International Business major in college, I believe studying global art helps me understand how culture influences people's values, communication, and business practices. I want to learn how creativity and cultural understanding can build connections between countries and create opportunities in the global marketplace. To me, global art and international business complement each other because both bring people together and encourage us to see the world from different perspectives. Global art is an interesting way to learn about different cultures, traditions, and histories around the world. Art is often called a universal language because it allows people to express emotions, ideas, and experiences even when they do not speak the same language. Every culture has its own artistic traditions, such as African textiles, Japanese calligraphy, Mexican murals, and Indian rangoli. These art forms reflect the beliefs, values, and identities of the people who create them. Art can also teach us about history by showing how people lived, what they believed in, and what was important to their societies. Another interesting fact about global art is that it plays an important role in international business. Art is not only found in museums and galleries but also in fashion, movies, music, advertising, video games, and digital design. Many creative products are sold and shared across countries, creating business opportunities and connecting people worldwide. For example, a clothing company entering a new international market may use local artistic styles and cultural influences to attract customers. Understanding global art can help businesses recognize cultural differences, communicate respectfully, and create products that appeal to different audiences. Technology and social media have also made it easier for artists to share their work with people around the world.
